Ah, another glorious day of contributing to shareholder value! There is nothing like waking up bright and early on a beautiful June morning only to spend the next eight or so hours hunched over a computer, taking Zoom calls and looking at spreadsheets. The modern white-collar worker is afforded many privileges that previous generations probably weren't, but it could be argued that it comes at the cost of our sanity.
Still, those of us who weren't given the privilege of being born into immense wealth have to make a living somehow. No matter how soul-destroying it might be, at least we can ease the pain with a soothing helping of work memes. No beleaguered employee is alone in their plight, and the humor helps to remind us of this. All the stress and boredom can actually be pretty amusing if we approach it with the right attitude to make it that way.
