The Planet of the Apes is one of the most iconic film franchises of all time, and it doesn't look like it's going anywhere anytime soon. The newest installment, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, is making bank at the box office and proving all the haters wrong who think that nobody will go to the theatres to see a bunch of monkey wars the weekend before Memorial Day.
I love the new CGI version of the apes as much as the next guy, but I miss the charm of that '60s monkey makeup. I even miss how Paul Giamatti looked as an orangutan in the horrendous Tim Burton version! If you like your apes in whatever form they come, prefer the titular Planet over inferior monkeys like King Kong, these Planet of the Apes memes might be something to get your stinking paws on, you d***ed dirty ape.
