I have a theory that everyone secretly wants to be a little famous. Sure, none of us hope to be stalked, or never leave our homes without an entourage, or have your secrets splashed all over the news. But I think many of us would be lying if we said we didn't want one moment where it seemed like everyone loved us. I think everyone imagines a moment where they're onstage in front of thousands of fans, and they're all cheering your name. But then we'd want it to go away when we wanted it to.
So maybe most of us dream of being one-hit wonders where we get a couple months in the spotlight and then quickly fade away into oblivion. We would have the memory of our name in lights, but then get to scroll memes in complete obscurity like we do now. That wouldn't be such a bad life.
